Many puzzles and deadly traps stand between you and your goal – to bring your daughter Aether to the last place on the face of Earth that still sees light. But the 14th era is one of Darkness…”Īs Nyx, an old, retired warrior, evade the Shadows and find your way through the crooked corridors of gloomy dungeons, navigate the treacherous pathways of the darkened overworld and fight emissaries of darkness in long-forgotten temples. The time of men had begun, and would last many eras. Then the darkness was pierced by Luce, and with her came warmth and order. I'm really sad to say it, but it's either too early to release it or just a lazy cash-grab on the Dark Souls trend.“In the beginning, there was only an excruciating, screaming void, wherein twisted souls writhed about, imprisoned in nothingness. The only design bits there are in the game scream Dark Souls enemies and places. There's no reason to pick it over Dark Souls or any other ds-like - it's just a copycat in that state. It's just isometric Dark Soul wannabe with absoletly no anything that actually made Dark Souls so loved. I get that you wanted to add "wieght" to the character, but it ended up feeling like you stuck in the mud. If you're on target you might roll in unexpected directions. Attacks go through enemies and theirs through you. Any sort of creative design is practically nonexistent. The environmental design, the characters - it's so uninspired. It's very basic assets, almost looks like an asset flip. I think you should've went with at least a year or something of early access rather than releasing the game in the state it is in atm. So I've played the demo which looks like a representation of the final build.
